Best meatloaf I've had in many years other than my own! Going back tomorrow to sample their breakfast!

Took my mom there while visiting her in Mobile. Great home-cooked meal love the old house interior. Will definitely eat there again when I visit mom

The food was delicious! Got the ham sandwich and the club sandwich. Also had some samples of the chicken salad and the tuna salad. Both were delicious!! Chicken salad had pecans and grapes in it which I love but I know some folks don’t care for. Also the tuna salad had chopped boiled eggs in it which I also love, but some folks don’t. Delicious!! We had the blueberry layer cake and loved it! Not too heavy, not too light! Just right!The only negative we had, which was understandable due to it being Sunday lunch crowd was that service was a little slow. Our server was very nice though!Please try this place at least once. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

The fried chicken is divine here! Every day they have specials and home cooked sides to pair with delightful main choices. The desserts are amazing and they give you free hot pickles if you ask. You can sit outside or in the historic house that the restaurant is built in. . Plus it's a Pokémon stop. Breakfast is good, but the portions are smaller. Not that I need an IHOP sized mega meal in the morning. . But I was hungry and wanted more french toast then I was given. If you're hungry, give this place a shot!

I was very disappointed as was my friend. We were rushed. The menu for breakfast is kind if limited. Our server was nice but she was impatient. Kate ordered a mimosa, and the server said 2 mimosas and brought back 2. I told her I didn't want one but she ignored me, I didn't make a big deal about it but I but thought she would atleast take it off check check which she didn't. The mimosas weren't even good. The French toast I ordered was good, but the cheese grits were runny and no flavor. The reviews for the most part were good, so I expected more I guess. Very disappointed.

Field peas are always under cooked, usually get my order wrong. Decent food for the most part but still could be better.

We arrived at 10:30 which was too early for lunch so we had to do brunch. Lunch starts at 11:00. I had the chicken and waffles which were a first for me. Great choice!

I called to put in a to go order and was left on hold for 5 minutes while I could hear people talking in the background. I called back 7 TIMES and let it ring for several minutes each time and no one would answer....

Fantastic southern comfort food at its best! On a visit to the region I went to the Sugar Kettle and fell in love. The food is amazing, the service kind, and the atmosphere quiet and cozy. A wonderful place I'll never miss a chance to visit!

Friendly Staff, good food and outside seating

It was good, but not great. They were real good about giving free samples before we ordered. Sweet tea was spot on right. The food just did not have the "WOW" factor that I was looking for; it was rather bland. Servers were attentive and friendly. I plan to go back during breakfast hours and see if the food improves.

Great food, polite staff. I ordered the fried chicken breast and wing with mashed potatoes, field peas, and a roll. Everything was great. The chicken was crunchy, well seasoned, and moist on the inside. I normally don't eat field peas, but theirs were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mashed potatoes were homemade and had delicious soft chunks of potatoes throughout. The roll was a fantastic sweet roll. It was a great first experience and I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my order! I'd suggest this place to anyone

Use to come to eat here years agi, food was good but now recently visited and due to alot of customer's the cleanliness could use some work and due to being so rushed sandwiches get rushed and put tigether a little sloppy Servers are still nice but prices a little high for 2 sandwiches and a small side Hoping cleaner next visit and parking lot blacktoped, has alot of holes gravel and white dirtOtherwise, well be back👍🏽🤗

The BEST Belgian Waffles ever! Not to mention the bacon, sausage, and Fresh Blueberries! We'll be going back for sure! We felt right at home! It was Delicious! And the Service was Phenomenal! Loved it! And My daughter the Picky Eater ate ALL of her meal !!! Awesome!

THE BEST !! breakfast I have had since moving back to AL. 14 months ago ... man those stone ground grits they serve are "da bomb"!...great service .. great food and I can't wait to go back for lunch and work some collards over !! Loved the old house the restaraunt is in ... felt like where I was raised over in Mobile

We were delightfully surprised by the quality and charm of Sugar Kettle Cafe. Our breakfasts were delicious. They had organic grape juice for our toddler (mama loved that) and country fried steak (daddy loved that!). The white pepper gravy was the best we've ever tasted. The biscuits were a bit overcooked, but you couldn't tell when you put the delicious strawberry and blackberry jams on them. Overall, we will certainly be back and have already recommended it to family members.

Love this cafe and the food is fabulous. Service is great too.

Good southern comfort food

Great homemade southern food and condiments (jams, sweet/spicy pickles, etc.). We had the country fried steak bowl. Nice breading and white gravy, lots of country potatoes. The biscuit was crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Friendly staff. Will return.

Good food. Like eating breakfast at your momma's house, but slightly fancier.

It is a gem of a restaurant.. meat & 2 vegetable.. get the cornbread.. the staff was super nice. Stop by for lunch.
